I met and worked with Greg during the red shirt Summerfest days. We were all burning the candle at both ends with two jobs. No matter what, he always had a great smile. He is missed and my heart goes out to his fiance and family. Angels about you all.

I was deeply saden to hear of the news. Greg was a great guy and competitor. I was thinking of him during our 20th high school reunion this past summer wondering where he was and what he was doing. I am very proud to have known him and call him my friend. God Bless.

All over this country there are private citizens like me who thank God for people like you. We may not know your names or your faces but we know that you are truly brave, that you are the real heroes, and we appreciate what you do with all our hearts. There is no more noble sacrifice than yours, Agent Rahoi. How can we ever thank you.

God be with you and those close to you now and forever more.

Greg and I became friends in law school and stayed close friends until he joined HRT. Then we lost touch, but I have never lost the sense of Greg as my friend. He was the kind of perosn who would give you the skin off his back, not just the shirt. Greg, you will always be my hero. The world is a smaller place knowing you are no longer in it.

Greg and I were friends at Marquette Law School (we had every class together for an entire year and were seated near one another as we were both toward the end of the alphabet). We socialized and studied for exams together. He was always a jovial, happy, well-liked individual and we spent alot of time talking and reflecting on life. His enthusiasm for the profession of law enforcement was unmatched by anyone I have ever met. He was a remarkable person and was impossible not to like! When I heard of his passing, I was deeply saddened. From my review of his career, Greg did alot of good, and of that I am not surprised. He lived life to the fullest during his time on Earth and everyone who knew him should be proud to have had the opportunity to share in it. Greg, you will be missed.

I was on vacation when a buddy called me to ask me if I knew the HRT guy from Chicago that had been killed. Despite being a big office, Chicago is tight-knit so I knew that I'd know who it was, especially since there's a few guys from the team that made HRT. I was shocked to my core to hear the news. Greg was such a nice guy that even when he made one of his corny jokes - and they were always corny - you'd just shake your head and say, "Jeez, Rahoi...", like you would a kid brother. And that's kinda what he was. Even looking at that picture up there you can see he's trying not to smile, which was something Greg was always doing. Even though he had all the reason in the world to have a big head (pilot, lawyer, EMT, FBI Agent, Chicago SWAT, HRT, the list goes on and on, what an overachiever this guy is!), he was just a down to earth kid from Wisconsin. I won't lie; Greg wasn't my best friend. I was older and closer to the guys I came on the team with. But I will say this: I counted him as a friend because he had a good heart and he was honest with himself and those around him. Not once did I ever hear him complain about his assignment, physical discomfort, late hours or anything that the rest of us routinely moan about. And I never heard him say a bad thing about another living soul. I know I can't say that. You always knew where you stood with Greg. There was no lie in him. My condolences go out to his friends, family and fiance. They also go out to the guys on HRT, who I know loved him like a brother. If it's any consolation, and I'm sure it isn't, Greg died doing what he considered his life's ambition and he got there by hard work, dedication, and being true to himself. A better example of a good person and a good agent can't be set. God Speed, Rahoi. Don't tell the Good Lord too many of those awful jokes, and put in the good word for the rest of us.

I knew Greg in the early 90's when he was a member of the Town of Brookfield Fire Department. Although I knew him only for a short time, I have thought of him many times over the years. His sincerity, professionalism, love of family and life are things I will never forget. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. My heart, sympathies, and prayers go out to his Family, Fiancee, and many

From the day Greg joined the MPD Academy, we could see he was meant for this line of work. His smile would light up a room. He was one of our "go-to" guys. He was great at what he did, compassionate in his approach, and he could make anyone laugh. We were sad to hear that Greg was leaving us to join the FBI, but not surprised. We were never surprised to hear how well he was doing and how much he loved the job. Greg was exactly the kind of guy you would hope and pray to see come through the door on a hostage rescue effort. I am not surprised he worked hard and made the team. As horrific and tragic as the incident was that took his life, I am also not surprised that all the members of the HRT were giving 100% and pushing those training limits, hoping to make themselves better prepared, honing the edge so that they might be better prepared to do whatever their country called upon them to do. God bless, Greg; and God bless your teammates in this darkest of hours. May you and your law enforcement family find peace. We will keep you, your fiancee, your family, friends and fellow law enforcement officers in our hearts and prayers.

Greg and I were first-office agents together in Chicago. Even then, he aspired to join HRT. He achieved this career goal and excelled at it.

Greg always seemed to be smiling and in a good mood. He was the type of guy who would give you the shirt off of his back.

His loss leaves a void in our FBI family. He will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and fiancee.
