Reflections for Police Officer Patrick Roy Kramer

Rest in peace brother!

While I had never met Officer Kramer, I had the honor of attending his service in Billings. I believe the attendence at the service was a testament to the love and admiration the City of West Yellowstone, and the law enforcement community had for Patrick. Like many before him, Officer Kramer gave his life doing what he loved to do, help those who couldn't help themselves. Each surviving officer, both in Montana and the United States, owes Officer Kramer a debt of gratitude, for each of us knows that it is through Pride and Purpose we each don the uniform of our respective agencies each and every day. To you Officer Patrick Kramer, I will never forget the day your name was introduced into my life.

REST IN PEACE BROTHER!

I come to the ODMP often to remember my late fiancé Dennis. Everytime I come here it breaks my heart to know that yet another officer has fallen and that yet another family has to live their lives without the man they loved. My heart goes out to everyone who knew and loved Officer Kramer, especially to his girlfriend. Know that you are not alone in the "journey" that you walk. Should you ever need anything please don't hesitate to contact me. The Davis Co. Sheriff's Office in Iowa will always know how to reach me. You will be in my thoughts.

From reading the reflections left for Patrick, he sounds like he was a great man with a beautiful spirit. Those of you who knew him in life were so blessed to have been able to share in it. I hope that you will all continue to find a way to celebrate and remember Patrick's life and the MAN that he was. Remember that Patrick's life was about so much more than the way he died. Patrick will continue to live on as long as we continue to remember him.

Officer Kramer, thank you for helping to make this world a little safer for us all. YOU will not be forgotten. Please continue to watch over all of us as only you can. If you happen to bump into my late fiancé Dennis up there give him a big hug for me and the kids. It's been almost four years but we still miss him terribly.

Wishing you brighter and better days,

Jocelyne :)

Patrick was the most compassionate man I ever met. He has set the bar high for whomever I date. He was so involved in his daughters life from the first day we found out. Reading Lord of the Rings to my belly and taking her for walks around our small town as often as he could. Lexi would always get him to stop at the candy store for her Huckleberry chocolate. He was so in love with her.
God bless your soul. You will be greatly missed my friend.

How fondly I remember all of the Easter's that our families spent together growing up. It was always wonderful to reconnect with the Kramer's once or twice a year and spend time with such amazing people. My condolences go out to you at such a difficult time. My thoughts are with you.

Kramers~

I love you all so much and many wonderful memories with all of you and Patrick. My favourite memory is when Pat would get Kristen and I to prank call girls he liked at Skyview. Ah, that was fun.

Please let me know if there is anything I can do for you.

Take care and God bless.

Love,

To All,

Thank you for your kind words and your support. It means a lot to the whole family to hear from you during this difficult time. And it means so much to us to hear from people who didn't even know Patrick. We know that a career in law enforcement can be difficult, and especially at a time like this.

Patrick gave a lot of himself to help other people and in his memory, we hope that you will continue to reach out and help others in your life.

On behalf of all of the Fremont County Sheriff's Office I would like to offer our deepest sympathies to the family and friends of this fine young man. Although we worked right next door to each other I had not had the honor of meeting Officer Kramer. However, I feel a deep pain for this loss and I know all who wear the badge do too. To give your life in the line of duty is a sacrifice of unmeasureable love for yor fellow man. To die for the sake of others is done by only kind of person, a hero. To the wife and child left behind I say to you Patrick Roy Kramer was nothing short of hero. I will remember him as such.
Requies catum pace. Rest in peace hero.
