Reflections for Police Officer Patrick Roy Kramer

To the family, friends, and officers that knew Officer Kramer, my thoughts and prayers are with you as you face the trying times ahead of you. Please know your not alone.

Here I am, lost in the light of the moon that comes through my window
Bathed in blue, the walls of my memory divide the thorns from the roses
It's you and the roses

Touch me and I will follow in your afterglow
Heal me from all this sorrow
As I let you go I will find my way when I see your eyes
Now I'm living in your afterglow

Here I am, lost in the ashes of time, but who wants tomorrow?
In between the longing to hold you again
I'm caught in your shadow, I'm losing control
My mind drifts away, we only have today

Touch me and I will follow in your afterglow
Heal me from all this sorrow
As I let you go I will find my way
I will sacrifice 'til the blinding day when I see your eyes
Now I'm living in your afterglow

When the veils are gone as I let you go, as I let you go

Touch me and I will follow in your afterglow
Heal me from all this sorrow
As I let you go I will find my way, I will sacrifice
Now I'm living in your afterglow

Bathed in blue, the walls of my memory divide the thorns from the roses
It's you who is closest

I prayed this morning that another officers name was not added to this memorial. I guess God has other ideas, and plans for these officer's he is taking from us so early in their careers, and away from their families, loved ones, friends and the ones who wear the badge of law enforcement.
I read all of the reflections that are left by other officers, and many who are not. It shows how much each and every one that we have lost over the years are still remembered how much impact they have on all of us still here.
It isn't just from the United States but in some cases all over the world. It is amazing how far these officers duties reflect on so so many people. God Bless You All.
Each and everyone who has past on and who are still here to carry on there job are not appreciated as they should be, but still go to work everyday to help others in any way they can and doing a job that many wouldn't do for a million dollors. They loved their jobs, the people and the ones they could help in some small way, so we can lay our heads down at night and sleep easy.
You are all HEROES.

My jaw dropped when I saw West Yellowstone! Some years ago I spent the summer in the park as a security guard and only wished I could have been a West Yellowstone cop. I can't imagine how this tremendous loss has rocked your small community. I hope your colleagues will find strength, pray your family will find peace and hope your community will honor your service. God speed brother, your new beat is on the Streets of Heaven.

It is a time of sorrow, it is a time of grief, and it is a sad time for officers and families during this sudden loss of life. We here at Cops Evangelist Ministries will have you in our prayers daily for the following days of grief. “REMEMBER ME”
Law enforcement officers are, indeed, a special breed of people. Ask anyone on the street and they will tell you that they would not have our jobs for anything in the world. It takes something special to do what we do and at the same time be able to even contemplate retirement. We try to be optimists. Unfortunately, there are a few of us who will never make that date with retirement. By the very nature of our job, we are at risk everyday of losing our lives, either at the hand of some deranged individual or in some other situation that we, by virtue of our occupation, may be unable to avoid. Some people have recognized the hazardous duties we involve ourselves in, the risks we take, and the pride we take in accomplishing that job. There is National Law Enforcement Week, dedicated to us who gladly accept the responsibility of protecting the citizens in our respective jurisdictions. National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Day is dedicated to those who gave their lives in the line of duty. These are but two examples of remembrances specifically for law enforcement personnel. Remembrances that come but once a year. We should remind fellow officers of another type of remembrance, one that will last a lifetime. Sooner or later, a doctor will pronounce us dead. It is inevitable. Regardless of whatever happens, death is the end we will all have to face.

On Sunday morning we lost a great comrade, a friend, and most importantly a wonderful father. As a member of the "Preservice Police Department," Pat worked hard to put himself through the academy--as he worked hard to attain everything good in his life. He was a young but accomplished officer with high aspirations and clear goals. He loved his job and loved his family, and my thoughts and prayers go out to all that feel this loss. Our academy class shirt read, "Psalm 91:11 - For He Shall Give His Angels Charge Over Thee, To Keep Thee In All Thy Ways." I know Pat is watching over all of us now. May he keep us in all our ways.
