I will be riding a bicycle in your honor with the 2007 Police Unity Tour leaving on May 9th from New Jersey with 800 officers from all across the country. I received your wrist band tonight at our meeting and will hopefully see a family member or a department member in Washington and then present it to them. God Bless.

Tony...I think about you everyday but my son thinks about you even more...lol. I did my best to try and forget what happened in the early mornings of March 31st and April 7th. But on April 7th my son called me in the morning to remind me. As sad as it felt, the overwhelming feeling of pride i had made me smile because i knew a man that had such a positive influence on him. Thank you...not only for your service as a soldier or a police officer, but for being a best friend and a great role model.

To My Children

The sunshine of your precious smiles
still linger in my heart.
You brighten up my every day
although we're far apart.
The memory of your little hands
holden mine so tight
brings a warm glow to my heart
as i watch over you at night.
You're growing up so quickly
and it won't be very long,
till those little arms that hugged my neck
will soon be big and strong.
I miss your hugs and kisses now,
but i want you three to know
I'll love you for eternity,
with all my heart and soul.
No matter what your futures bring,
I'll be watching you with pride,
and know that every trial you face,
I'll be there by your side...

Anthony,

I was just visiting Dennis' page and you crossed my mind. I hope that you're doing okay in Heaven and that you've had a chance to meet up with my Dennis. He was a good man and from what I've heard about you you two would've got a long great. Give him a big hug for me and the kids. (Dennis gave great hugs.) Keep watching over your wife, kids, sister, and everyone else down here who knew and loved you. Continue to send them signs that you're still around them even in spirit. They need that once in a while.

Peace,

Jocelyne

" If Tears Could Build A Stairway"

" If tears could build a stairway
and memories a lane,
I'd walk right up to heaven,
and bring you home again.

No fairwell words were spoken,
No time to say goodbye,
You were gone before I knew it,
And only God knows why.

My heart still aches with sadness,
And secret tears still flow,
What it meant to love you,
No one can ever know.

But know I know you want me to
mourn for you no more.

To remember all the happy times,
life still has much in store.

Since you'll never be forgotten,
I pledge to you today,
A hollowed place within my heart.
Is where you'll always stay.

I haven't been to this page in a while because it saddens me so but when I saw Tony's picture it brought fond memories. Tony was in my guard unit and we went to school together at Faulkner University. He was a good kind hearted man and will be missed greatly. My heart goes out to his wife and children. God Bless you all.

God bless you and your family. Losing you at such a young age is a terrible loss that only families who've been through this can understand. I lost my baby brother Detroit P.O. Matt Bowens at the ripe old age of 21 (he was on the job 3 years) and I tell you what, it hurts and it hurts for a long time. I wish your family nothing but the best and just know, there is a huge family in blue out there that supports you. Say hello to my baby bro and good luck patrolling those golden pastures on the other side of Heaven's gates!

Madonna,

Thanks for reaching out to me, for remembering Dennis, and for letting me know that my reflections make a difference. I make a point to write to the fallen officers families because I know how much it hurts to lose someone you love in the line of duty and I know how much it meant to me in the first days of losing Dennis to read the messages of support left by others. It may seem like we are all alone on this journey but we really aren't. I know a lot of the reflections I leave for the officers are the same, but that's because after reading all the reflections left I'm always left with the same impression. These officers are all special people who were very much loved. They are all beautiful in their own right and they should all be remembered as such, not just for their dedication to their jobs but for the men and women that they were. Your brother was one of those people. Don't ever forget that. I know it's so easy to focus on the day that he died and the days following, but try to find ways to remember how he lived. Use those memories and love you shared as a strength to keep going in life. It will be hard, and I know you can't see this now, but one day you will find reason to smile again. Trust me on that.

Thanks again for your note Madonna. Please pass my condolences onto the rest of your brother's family. If you ever feel the need to talk feel free to call the Davis County Sheriff's Office or Bloomfield Police Dept. located in Bloomfield, Iowa - they share the same building - and leave your contact information. They will always know how to contact me or get messages to me. Know that I'm there if you need me to be. There are other survivours and support I can put you in touch with as well. I know it's not an easy road we have to walk but maybe together that journey will be a little easier.

Hugs from Canada,

Jocelyne :)

PS: Thanks again Corporal Andrews for making a difference in this world. You will not be forgotten.
