Reflections for Police Officer Gary Jonathan Buro

"For men are not cast off from the Lord forever. Though he brings grief, he will show compassion, so great is his unfailing love." Lamentations 3:31-32...To the Buro family, you do not grieve alone. The joy of the Lord will be your strength during this trying time. To Gary--rest in peace, brother. We've got your back down here.

I entered my precinct this morning to the news that a fellow officer had fallen in the line of duty. It is always hard to swallow when one of our own makes the ultimate sacrifice and gives his life for the job. I did not know Gary but his bravery and commitment has moved me and made me all the more proud to be a Police Officer. I will carry him in my thoughts and wear my badge even prouder. Rest in Peace.
