To the Family & Friends of Officer Joseph Corr....

My heart goes out to you all as you deal with the loss of your loved one. I'm sorry to say, I know exactly what you all are going through as I lost my brother, Det. Jared Jensen, just a few days prior to Officer Corr passing. Officer Corr's memory will live on forever as we all remember what a great officer he was and what he died doing....protecting your community.

His memory will live on here in the Mohawk Valley forever. We were deeply saddened by the lost of this outstanding Police Officer, but heartened to know that he did not die in vain. He had a job to do and he did it with honors. May the Lord of Heaven and Earth bless and protect his family and give them a peace that surpasses all of our understanding.

Ms. Corr I read your reflection regarding the Montgomery County Sheriff's Dep. killed on Aug. 21, 2006 and was inspired to visit your sons memorial. It sounds like your son was very well liked in the community he served, you must be so proud! You did a fine job raising him! I'm sure it has been hard on the men & woman of the New Hartford PD too with the loss of their first Police Officer. God Bless you and my prayers are with you. Your son will never be forgotten!

I never had the opportunity to meet Joe. However, I know his sister Kelly. We were friends & roommates at Bucknell University. Over the years we lost touch, so I decided to email her. She wrote me of the terrible news. I wanted to write and send my condolences. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers. God bless.

Joe,
I still can't believe that this happened but we have to remember the good times had. You can always rest knowing that we are always going to take care of your family as you would have done for any of us. You were always someone that many people looked up to, including me, and you will always be remembered that way. God speed my friend and keep Heaven's streets safe just like you did here.

My dearest Son, Joe, Happy Fathers Day. Tracie and Katy went to the grave and she played with your flowers. I went to Byrne Dairy and the grave to leave flowers and a wreath. This would've been your 2nd Fathers Day. How we miss you every second, minute, and hour of the day. Your father and I are trying to help reinstate the death penalty for cop killers here in New Yok. I'm sure you will help also. I love you and miss you Mom

I come to the ODMP often to remember my late fiancé Dennis. Everytime I come here it breaks my heart to know that yet another officer has fallen and that yet another family has to live their lives without the man they loved. My heart goes out to everyone who knew and loved Officer Corr, especially to his wife. Know that you are not alone in the "journey" that you walk. Should you ever need anything please don't hesitate to contact me. The Davis Co. Sheriff's Office in Iowa will always know how to reach me. You will be in my thoughts.

From reading all the reflections left for Joseph, he sounds like he was a great man with a beautiful spirit. Those of you who knew him in life were so blessed to have been able to share in it. I hope that you will all continue to find a way to celebrate and remember Joseph's life and the MAN that he was. Remember that Joseph's life was about so much more than the way he died. Joseph will continue to live on as long as we continue to remember him.

Officer Corr, thank you for helping to make this world a little safer for us all. YOU will not be forgotten. Please continue to watch over all of us as only you can. If you happen to bump into my fiancé Dennis up there give him a big hug for me and the kids. It's been three years but we still miss him terribly.

Wishing you brighter and better days,

Jocelyne :)

Joe,
There isn't a day that goes by that I am not thinking of you and thinking this is not real! It is so hard to believe that a "good" guy like you that this happen to! Joe you will always be in my heart and will never be forgotten. Your Wife Tracie and your Daughter Katilyn will always remember what a awsome "Husband" and "Father" you were. Anytime I was in New Hartford I knew I was safe because you were protecting the street and serving and protecting the public. I remember when you were going through the Academy and Tracie telling me how you would spend time Polishing your weapon making it spotless for your inspection for the next day. You I miss you terrible as a friend. I know that you are protecting the gates of heaven with your brothers in Blue. Joe RIP you will never be forgotten!
