Dan was a true warrior in every sense of the word. He would never let anything deter him from getting the job done right, and effectively. He forced other people to step up and perform at the highest level. Dan made everyone better! His dedication knowledge and persistence will truly be missed. Dan, I am a better person for having known you. Rest with the best; you truly are a brother to us all in uniform!

Wow. What a true American Hero. S/A Kuhlmeier volunteered for this assignment. I will say a special prayer for him and his family tonight. If only we could all be so brave and self=sacrificing...I'm truly humbled and amazed by this man's contribution to all of us who call the U.S. home. God will surely take good care of your sir!

Dan,

Only you know now the greater good and meaning behind why honest, brave, and dedicated souls like you are taken away from your loved ones and friends so early on. And while we struggle to continue on, make sense, and accept your absence, we remember your selfless and unflynching dedication as a husband, a father, a son, a brother, a friend, a Marine, a soldier, and Special Agent. Thank you for taking me under your wing, thank you for demonstrating to me that professionalism, hard work, and humor are the traits of an exceptional special agent. Most of all, thank you for the friendship. Semper Fi, I'll take duty agent buddy, have a Guinness and kiss your family good night. Take care Director.

It takes a very brave soul to go into combat and as well to be a police officer, while you did both and lost your life in trying to teach others to be free, know that you are not forgotten brother, rest in peace. You have served with honor. THANK YOU!

Dan was a friend and colleague of mine for over two years. During that time I got to know him and understand what a great person he was in so many aspects. He was one of those people you meet that you instantly respect and strive to become more like. He was extremely intelligent, witty (to those who knew him his sarcasm and wit were legendary), kind, moral, a loving father and husband and a good friend. He represented the best in all areas, and is a true American Hero. I will always keep him in the back of my mind and in my heart, and am thankful for the brief time I was able to spend with him. My prayers are with his wife and daughter.
