Blake,
Christmas is just a few days away and I still can't belive you are not here to be with your girls. Blake, Dawn sent out Christmas Cards of her and Haven and Jewell when I opened the card and saw them it brought a smile to me then tears because we were not there. Blake keep a watch over all law enforcement.

Dear Mr. Gammill:

We are one of the families who have been blessed by your work as Santa at Rhodes Hall over these past several years. We are so deeply sorry for your loss, and will be thinking of you and your entire family during this Christmas season. It is apparent from the many messages here that your son is deeply loved.

Blake, we just got back from taking some poinsettas to your grave and ran into your father as he was putting a beautiful wreath and Christmas Tree up for you. It was a pleasure meeting him. He is a super nice person and my heart breaks for him as it does Dawn, the girls, your Mom and everyone that loves you. I know the Holidays are going to be really hard for them and they are all in my prayers. We think of you everyday and miss you every second. God Bless you. We love you and we will see you soon.

Blake,
We still think about you a lot.
We miss dawn a lot too. The best memory of you is when you and my boys were at JEWELS house and you sat his well on fire. I miss not having you and dawn at Jewel's christmas parties. it's not the same. We rode in the bike ride for you and as i looked at your bike on your truck i felt a deep void. the girls and dawn were playing in the grass and little haven kept picking the little flowers and giving them to dawn with a kiss. they have your looks and your heart. I know we'll all ride in the march bike ride to honor you and i would rather have you still here with your girls and dawn. i love you brother and i know my husband is still missing you greatly . merry christmas

Blake,
I miss you so much. The holidays are upon us and Brande and the girls are doing well. Jewell Grace looks more and more like you everyday! She also acts just like you! Somedays she will look at me and I think " God you look just like your daddy." There is not a day that goes by that Brande and I don't mention something about you. You have left such an impression on every life you have touched. I am getting married in February to a police officer in Valdosta. He reminds me so much of you. Even Brande says that ya'll sound alike on the radio. He has been asked to join their S.W.A.T. team and I have stressed to him that I don't think I can handle him joining the team. He understands thank god! Keep watching over us. I will continue to help Brande and the girls and remind them how wonderful their dad is everday!!! I miss you and not a day goes by that I don't think of you!! See you one day in heaven! I can't wait!!!

Hey Man,
It still seems like a bad dream. I can not tell you how much it affected me when O.J. called and gave me the news. We were both working that night, and when he called I knew it was something bad. I hope your family is ok now. I know it is hard on them, I also wish you a happy thanksgiving. We all miss you and will never forget you. Ben

Happy Thanksgiving Blake. You are missed so much here. I know the Holidays are going to be hard for your family this Season, my heart goes out to them. We all miss you and wish we could rewind time. We will never forget you and we will always miss you and love you. We will see you again one day.

November 21, 2005

Happy Thanksgiving, Blake. I know you are having a feast of your own up there! This time of year reminds me of waiting impatiently for you to come back to school and the Thanksgivings we spent together when you went hunting with my dad. I have always treasured those memories, but more so now. I know this holiday will be hard for your family and I know that your children miss their daddy. I hope it has gotten easier for them with passing of time, but I know there will always be an emptiness in them for you.
You will always be remembered and always have a place in my heart. Thank goodness for memories.
