Reflections for Deputy Sheriff Haven Blake Gammill

I can't believe it has been a year. I just got off the phone with Haven. They are at Anita's for your memorial tomorrow. Brande is holding up pretty well. I miss you so much. The girls miss you. Jewell Grace is looking more and more like you everyday. I'm not going to be able to be at the memorial but you and your family will be in my thoughts. It doesn't seem like it has been a year. Time has flown by. Keep looking out for us and I will never forget you. I miss you.

On the anniversary of your tragic death, know that you are being thought of and remembered by those whose lives you touched, whether they knew you personally or not. Your memory is honored and revered.

May your family be comforted and supported by those who care for you and your loved ones.

Hey buddy! Man we sure do miss you. I can't believe it's been a year today. It seems like just yesterday, like it's all just a bad dream. Everyone has done so many great things for you and your family. Not a day goes by that I don't think about you. Thinking about all the great times and memories with you makes it a little easier. They are having a memorial service for you tomorrow. I'm sure it will be really nice. Although we wish you were here, it eases the pain a little knowing that we have the best guradian angel the Lord has. I know you are watching over us. One day we will get to walk Heaven's golden streets together. I'll try to sneak in a can of Copenhagen! :) I miss you terribly and I love you so much Blake!!!

Hey Blake,
It's so unreal. It is 2 days away from it being 1 year since you died. ONE YEAR. The days crawl by, but the years fly. Your memorial service is this weekend. There a lot of mixed emotions and feelings going on right now. We all love you and miss you so much. It's almost like it was yesterday. Many people are not over it, have not found ways to deal with your death yet, and may not ever. You were taken from all of us so suddenly. Just know that we love you and miss you so much. Rest in peace 591. "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the Children of God" Matthew 5:9
P.S. "R" is in good hands...

Blake I spoke with you one time and you were so extremely nice to me and respected my former service of 13 years law enforcement. You are a hero brother. You, Jordan and Whitney are our organizations guiding light. Rest high on that mountain, your place in Heaven is well earned. We will see you again one day. We love you.
