Reflections for Patrolman Scott Morgan Armstrong

Scott-
Please be with your family especially today. They will really need you today. I am so glad that we met them and have become so close. I just wish that you and Nick could still be here also. I just wanted to let your family know that we are thinking of them.

DEAR SCOTT,

ESPECIALLY TODAY, YOU AND YOUR FAMILY ARE IN MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS. I HATE THAT YOU ARE NOT WITH US HERE, BUT I KNOW I HAVE AN EXCELLENT GUARDIAN ANGEL IN HEAVEN. PLEASE CONTINUE TO KEEP EXTRA WATCH OVER OUR FAMILY/FRIENDS WHO SERVE AND PROTECT US EACH DAY. YOU GAVE THE ULTIMATE SACRIFICE AND THAT I WILL NEVER FORGET. YOU ARE LOVED AND MISSED BY SO MANY! YOU ARE A TRUE HERO.

GOD BLESS
LOVE,

Two years may have passed but that has not diminished the love and emptiness that your loved ones have and feel for you. Continue to keep watch over them, protect them. Let them feel your presence so they know you are watching over them. You are a true hero and will never be forgotten.

Scott
Here it is almost 2:30 am and I am thinking about you right now. It is hard to believe that in a few minutes you will now be gone 3 years. At times it seems forever and then others it is still fresh. I have been remembering some of our fun times and I acutally laughed out loud the other night. (It was so great to do that with your memory!!!!) Please keep a close eye on your family and maybe give them a sign youre there!

Just remember you are missed more today than yesterday but not missed as much as tomorrow.

HI SCOTT!!!

I HAVEN'T WRITTEN IN AWHILE AND WE ARE ACTUALLY SLOW AT WORK, SO I AM GOING TO TAKE THIS OPPORTUNITY TO SAY "HI"!!

AT ANY RATE, SHE TOLD ME ABOUT HER AND MATT'S MOVE. SOUNDS LIKE SUCH WORK. IT SOUNDS LIKE SHE IS REALLY DOING A GOOD JOB WITH M.A.D.D. I KNOW SHE REALLY PUTS HER HEART AND SOUL INTO IT.

The Badge"

He starts his shift each day
To respond to calls unknown.
He drives a marked patrol car.
A police officer he is known.

He's paid by the citizens' taxes
To make it safe on the streets.
But he usually has a second job
'Cause a waitress has his salary beat.

Now he doesn't know a holiday
'Cause he works all year round.
And when Thanksgiving and Christmas finally arrive
At his home he cannot be found.

He's cursed and assaulted often,
The one whos blood runs blue.
He seldom ever gets a thanks,
To some he's just a fool.

His friends are always other cops
'Cause people just don't understand
That underneath his badge and gun,
He's just another man.

He knows there might not be a tomorrow
In this world of drugs and crime.
And he gets so mad at the court system
'Cause the crooks don't get any time.

And each day when he leaves for work,
He prays to God above.
Please bring me home after my shift
So I can see the ones I love.

But tonight he stops a speeding car,
He's alone down this ole' highway.
It's just a little traffic infraction.
He does it everyday.

Well, he walks up to the driver's window,
And his badge is shining bright.
He asked the guy for a driver's license,
When a shot rang through the night.

Yes, the bullet hit its mark,
Striking the officer in the chest.
But the Department's budget didn't buy
Each officer a bullet-proof vest.

So he lay on the ground bleeding.
His blood wasn't blue - His blood was red.
And briefly he thought of his loved ones
'Cause in a moment the officer was dead.

In the news they told the story
Of how this officer had died.
And some who listened cared less,
But those who loved him cried.

Well, they buried him in uniform
With his badge pinned on his chest.
He even had his revolver,
He died doing his best.

Scott,
I just wanted you to know I had a dream about you last night. It was so REAL!!!! It was so great to see you alive and to give you that BIG HUG!!!! I enjoyed that so much. The hard part was waking up and realizing that it was only a dream and you will never be giving me a hug again and giving that wicked grin of yours, how depressing.
Thanks for visiting and know that I still havent or will never forget you. Love Ya!!!
