Reflections for Patrolman Scott Morgan Armstrong

Scott,

We just got back from Washington DC a few days ago. We all had a good time (some more than others and I know you know who I am talking about!) I know you had something to do with the thunder storm Saturday night. I am sure you were laughing at Matt, Carrie, and I as we were running trying to stay dry and that is far from what happened. Anyways, you know I hate going to see your name on the wall because it shouldn't be there, you should be here with us. On the otherhand it is so wonderful to see you and all the other heros honored the way you should be. Like Morgie said best, "My uncle Scott is my Hero."

So we brought the Rams Cheerleaders picture again. After I took if off the wall before we left to come home I was holding it and a police officer stopped me and said that he saw the picture on the wall. I told him that it is for my brother and I know you would think you are pretty hot stuff for having all of the cheerleaders sign it for you and the police officer said that if he had a poster signed by all the cheerleaders he would think that he was hot stuff too! I guess it is a guy thing.

I love you DORK.

dear scott,

this afternoon, as i was approaching collier's funeral home, you were heavy on my heart and mind. i haven't been there since your death and definitely was not looking forward to attending chico's wake today. as i entered the very same room that i last saw your face, the first person that i saw was your amazingly wonderful sister!! yes, i mean april! she was there w/ matt paying their respects to chico also. i told her how much i had been thinking of you on the drive to the funeral home, and we both agreed that we hated the room in which we were conversating!

thank you for letting april and i run into each other today. i think it really helped both of us being where we had to be today. she told me about washington d.c., and we talked about morgan. i am calling her for a play date for morgan and the boys.

we all miss you tremendously, but you have a new player up there for your team. chico was a good solid man just as you were and continue to be in heaven.

love always,

meghan

Hey Scott,

We were all at Missouri Memorial this past weekend. Morgan got to hang out with all of her friends. Even though she is the only one who isn't walking yet she was still able to keep up. When she was lagging behing Max would help her out by picking her up by the back of her overalls. It was so funny. She wanted me to tell you that she is sorry for sleeping through the memorial service on Saturday but it was hot and you would of done the same thing.

Matt and I will be taking the picture of the Rams Cheerleaders to Washington DC again to put by your name, I know you think you are just hot stuff because all the cheerleaders signed it for you. I know this trip to DC will be so much different than last year, I am not 9 months pregnant so I think I will be able to keep up with everyone!!

Love you DORK!!

Scott;
Sunday brought another sad loss to police work in our area. I remember all the fundraisers for Chico that you would let us know about and go to! Welcome him home with open arms, he fought his fight well!

Like always, keep us safe and watch over us as things start to get busy. May god bless those of us who protect.

Patrolman Armstrong's photo currently hangs in the recruit classroom at the St. Louis County and Municipal Police Academy. The current class (#162) is dedicated to his memory. Our class began on January 8, 2007 and will graduate on June 21, 2007. Currently there are 23 class members from the following agencies: St. Louis County PD, Creve Coeur PD, Maplewood PD, Olivette PD, Manchester PD, and Chesterfield PD. Our class motto is: "Courage, commitment, survival."

Every time that we say that motto I think of Patrolman Armstrong.

hi scott!!!

thanks for keeping dave safe last night. pretty bad broken leg but it could have been A LOT WORSE!!! our city boys in blue got one of them (D.O.S) but the other got away. it appears to be open season on the pd, so we really need your extra help along w/ bob, nick, mike, etc... to keep everyone safe. sometimes i really wish jim would quit the department. i would know he'd be safer, but i know it's his livelihood, so all i can do is pray a little more for him when he is on duty.

i miss your sense of humor and your smile. sometimes, i really need that to pick me up, and all i can do is rely on my memories.......

love,

Happy Birthday Scott, a day late.
I don't get to spend a lot of time on the computer now since I spend most of my time keeping Morgan busy.

I hope you like what Morgie and I left for you, well what I left for you since Morg was asleep in the car. What can I say all of the birthday shopping made her tired.

Happy Birthday DORK!!

Scott-
We wanted to wish you a Happy Birthday. I hope you sent signs to your family on this hard day. We were thinking about them. You have a wonderful family. Morgan and Payton are having fun at their "play dates". It also gives April and me time to talk. Thank Nick for me for my special birthday gift. It was a beautiful day outside and I got to spend it with Gavin, Bobby and Payton. Well, you guys party up there. It sure is getting crowded in heaven.
