Reflections for Trooper First Class Anthony Jones

Another Hero is taken from us too early. Nothing will replace the Husband and father who was taken while protecting those who will never know him. However, for his loved ones left behind, please know that there are thousands of brother and sister Officers who will stand with you, and will always be there when you need us.

This is the reason I work so hard and love so much taking DRUNK drivers off the road. It sickens me to read of yet another officer's senseless death at the hands of a self centered fool who thought he could drink and drive.
God bless you sir, and may he guide your family in the tough times ahead. You will not be forgotten

I stop by this website often after the death of two dear friends with the NCSHP (Troopers Calvin Taylor E.O.W. October 3, 2001 and Anthony Cogdill E.O.W. May 30, 2003).
Unfortunately, I had to add the name of another friend. Deputy Jeffrey Hewitt, Buncombe County (NC) Sheriff’s Department, E.O.W. April 4, 2004.

We all grieve over the lives lost in the line of duty. I hope you can find some comfort knowing that there are countless prayers that go out for your family.

These are senseless tragedies that never seem to stop. God Bless the men and women who continue to serve their communities in our great Nation.
