Once again we have to endure another officer who was felled by a senseless act of violence, which I understand was a possible gang initiation. I work near Detroit and had to endure the senseless killings of Detroit Officers Bowen and Fettig recently as well. My heart hangs heavy and my thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of Ofc. Steiner.
To my hero, Pres. Bush, I say this. It's time we extend the war on terrorism to the homefront and go after these domestic terrorists, otherwise known as gangbangers with the same furor that we are going after terrorists around the world.

There are but two persons who protect the sinful human race from destroying itself. One is God's Holy Spirit. The other is the Peace Officer. Without them, we would all perish at each other's hands.

You were called into this profession and our Lord and Savior has blessed you because:
According to Romans 13.1-5...
God ordains the Peace Officer’s profession.
The Peace Officer is sent by God.
The Peace Officer is vested with God's authority to enforce the law.
A Peace Officer's badge is to be honored by us, because it is honored by God.

To the family of Officer Thomas Steiner and the California Highway Patrol, your extended family of Law Enforcement Officers grieves with you during this time. I pray that God will wrap his loving arms around each of you and comfort you during this most difficult time.

To all my brothers and sisters, please remember the fallen officers we have lost. Remember the men and women who died trying to make this world a safer and better place for us all to live in. Please pray for this officer's family, agency, and friends as they struggle with this tragedy.
May God be with you every day, please remember, we are a part of the largest family in the world and when one hurts we all hurt.

You gave the ultimate sacrifice for your fellow man, your life, while serving, defending, and protecting others in your community.
Rest easy with our other fallen Brothers and Sisters, we have the watch now. Though our badges and uniforms may be different, our mission is the same. We will continue the fight in your honor.

Florida Deputy Sheriff

When one falls, we are all diminished. Your passing will be mourned by all who wear the badge. My prayers are with you, your family, your friends and your department. Rest in peace brother. We will carry on for you, humbled by the weight of your sacrifice.

We do our jobs and protect our fellow citizens with the utmost integrity. But because we wear our uniforms with pride and honor, we receive the hate of many who are jealous of our high standards and willingnous to stand for those who cannot.
Officer Steiner died because of the uniform he wore. It may be a slightly different style or color than mine or others, but it is still the same uniform.
I thank Officer Steiner for sharing his integrity, honor and high standards. It cannot be disputed that he was a hero, simply for serving others.

Fathers are wonderful people, too little understood,
And we do not sing their praises often as we should...
For somehow, Father seems to be the man who pays the bills,
while Mother binds up little hurts and nurses all our ills...
And Father struggles daily to live up to "his image",
As PROTECTOR, PROVIDER and HERO of the scrimmage...
And perhaps that's the reason we sometimes get the notion,
That Fathers are not sunbject to the thing we call emotion...
But if you look inside Dad's heart, where no one else can see,
You'll find he's sentimental and as "soft" as he can be...
But he's so busy everyday in the grueling race of life,
He leaves the sentimental stuff to his partner, his wife...
But Fathers are wonderful in a million different ways,
And they merit loving compliments & accolades of praise...
For the only reason Dad aspires to fortune and success,
Is to make the family proud of him, and to bring them happiness...
And like our Heavenly Father, He is our Guardian and out Guide,
Someone that we can count on to be always on our side...
