Words cannot express the anger and sorrow I felt when I heard about the senseless murder of these 2 officers. My thoughts and prayers go out to their families and friends as well as their department. What a horrible experience it must be to lose not only one but two brothers in blue...especially at a time when the department is still reeling from losing so many of it's Blue Angels on 9/11. God Bless the men and women of the NYPD...keep them safe from harm and watch over them as they struggle to cope w/ all the tragedy they have suffered in the past few years.

Two officers down
put your knee to the ground.
Two officers down
while we worked safe and sound.
Two officers down
no one makes a sound.
Two officers down
three families tears soak the ground.
Two officers down
put your knee down
In a final salute to the heros'.
Two officers down
may they sleep safe and sound
as their bodies are given now
to this hallowed ground.
Their spirits comfort now
the youngest victim of a grieving town.

I would like to extend my condolences to the family of Detective Andrews and also to the New York City Police Department. My cousin was killed in the line of duty this past November and can relate to what the family of Detective Andrews is going through. My thoughts are with you.

My heart goes out to my fallen brothers and their family and friends. I worked for the NYPD for 9 years and 11 months and I know from experience that it's a very difficult job. May God comfort us all in our time of loss and let not their deaths be in vain. I believe that they left this world doing what they enjoyed the most, trying to make the world a safer place for us all.
