Reflections for Officer Andre Gerard Booker

To the parents, family, friends and co-workers of Ofc. Booker,

My heart breaks for you for it was five years ago Jan. 17th that I lost my sister due to line-of-duty death. It all seems unreal, hectic and surreal at first but thanks to loved ones and friends, the support is out there for you. Whether it be strength of his friends, co-workers or your loved ones, you won't be alone in this. One thing I do know is Henrico Police will take care of you and not forget to honor this man. My sister worked for another agency but I worked for Henrico Police at the time and they were there for our family as if she was one of their own. You are all in my prayers!!!

Ofc. Booker, you are a true hero. It is not everyone who puts his life on the line for others. The one thing I think people forget about our officers who put their lives on the line for our everyday safety. You will be missed. Say hi to my sister and my friend Greg for me, two other fine officers whose lives ended way too early.

Saint Michael, heaven's glorious commissioner of police, who once so neatly and successfully cleared God's premisesof all its undesirables, look with kindly and professionaleyes on your earthly force.

Give us cool heads, stout hearts, and uncanny flair for investigation and wise judgment.

Make us the terror of burglars, the friend of children and law-abiding citizens, kind to strangers, polite to bores, strict with law-breakers and impervious to temptations.

You know, Saint Michael, from your own experiences with the devil, that the police officer's lot on earth is not always a happy one; but your sense of duty that so pleased God, your hard knocks that so surprised the devil, and your angelic self-control give us inspiration.

And when we lay down our night sticks, enroll us in your heavenly force, where we will be as proud to guard the throne of God as we have been to guard the city of all the people. Amen.

There are no words to say in such a time of sorrow. 26 years old is just too young to loose a hero like Officer Andre Gerard Booker. My thoughts and prayers are with your department and with the friends and family of Officer Booker.
Never forget, and always stick together (with each other and with your fallen friends family) to continue the fight.

Family, Coworkers and Friends

I was very sadden to hear of Officer Booker’s passing. Andre and I attended High School together as well as College. It hurts to see another brother gone so soon. But I know Andre is resting in the hands of our Heavenly Father. Andre was a super nice GUY. I didn’t know Andre was a Police Officer so close just over in Henrico County.
To Mrs. Menefee (mother), the family, coworkers and friends I pray that God’s peace and comfort be with you during this most difficult time.

Andre,
Rest In Peace

"Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends."
