Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Police Officer Julie Rochelle Jacks

On a recent trip to Chattanooga I traveled on Officer Jack's
Memorial Highway. I googled her name and found this memorial page and after reading the reflections left by others, it is apparent Officer Jacks was an outstanding officer and an extraordinary person. The fact she was awarded Rookie of the year speaks volumes as to the professional caliber of officer she was. My condolences to her family, friends and co-workers. May she Rest in Peace.

My dear sister,
I just miss you so. I think of you so often, and all of our memories. You were such a special person and friend. I hear your voice of reason often. You had so much more to offer in this life.
Until we meet again, beautiful friend.
Love Always,

You've seen all the charms of this crazy old life

And you'd just as soon leave them behind as you'd never leave me

In the back of my mind

Taking up all my tIme

Hanging weightless in th sky

Like an angel with no place to fly

Looking for some peace of mind

Like an angel with no place to fly

My Dear Jules…..
It’s been 11 years now. You were taken from us so senselessly. There was so much life left for you to live. Now we can only wonder what your unfinished life would have been. Memories of you are what we hold onto now. You were a blessing. We miss you so much. See you soon.
All My Love…

Julie, you are on my mind tonight. You are often. Many times it's a song that you and the girls listened to, or a line from a movie that y'all had watched that sparks a memory. You are so loved.

Still one of the most beautiful girls I ever knew both inside and out. I am a better man for having known you, the world is not near as good/pretty without you in it.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 10th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

I pray for solace for all those that love and remember you for I know both the pain and pride are forever. Your family, especially your mom, is in my heart's embrace. I thank your family and friends for sharing their memories and devotion to you through their reflections. Your mom's love for you resonates from her writings and I am sure she has missed you every minute of every day of the last ten years.

Rest In Peace.
