Kevin -
No special reason today other than I am missing your laugh, your comedian self, and just you. We still listen to the last message you left on the machine just so we can hear your voice. I know you are watching over all of us, but we miss you so much here. You will NEVER be forgotten. We think of you each and every day. We are so thankful for all of the officers and all that they do putting their lives on the line to protect us. Miss you Kevin...Love you....

It seems so long ago we received that horrible call, but yet we remember your voice, love, and smile so vividly. We tell stories often and laugh more and more, but our hearts miss you daily. We are attending the police memorial tomorrow and taking our sweet boy to see your badge number. We miss you Kevin! We know you watch over us all.

I can't believe another year has passed. I knew it would eventually fall on Thanksgiving. I miss the good times we had both on and off duty, but I am thankful for the time we knew each other. I hope you are still looking over all of the officers at NW. I miss you friend....

To Officer James' family,
I said a prayer for you tonight. Christopher's name is on the NLEOM wall right next to my first husband's name. Unfortunately he was killed in 2001 also. As I looked at some pictures I took of the wall, I wanted to see the officer's that are on the wall around him and know how they died in the line of duty. I also wanted to read the reflections and see how they lived & say a prayer for each family. I pray that you are making it as well as possible without him in your life....I know how hard it is. God bless you.

Each October 1st, when we gather to commemorate the day of Kevin's birth, we are reminded of the sacrifice that officers of the DPD are required to make for the people of their community. Their actions save lives and promote freedom.
And, how that sacrifice can change the lives of familiy and friends.
Kevin James will never be forgotten. Happy 37th Birthday!

As a fellow east Texan, It was my pleasure to be a police officer in Kevin's home town and watch him mature into a responsible young man.

May your sacrifice never be forgotten. God's Speed be with you and your family always.

I stop by this website often after the death of two dear friends with the NCSHP (Troopers Calvin Taylor E.O.W. October 3, 2001 and Anthony Cogdill E.O.W. May 30, 2003).
Unfortunately, I had to add the name of another friend. Deputy Jeffrey Hewitt, Buncombe County (NC) Sheriff’s Department, E.O.W. April 4, 2004.

We all grieve over the lives lost in the line of duty. I hope you can find some comfort knowing that there are countless prayers that go out for your family.

These are senseless tragedies that never seem to stop. God Bless the men and women who continue to serve their communities in our great Nation.

...Gone, but never Forgotten....

It was a honor to have sat next to you for 32 weeks in the academy (class 243). I'll always remember our first day of the academy, receiving our first test scores and the day we graduated with you at the head of our class. REST IN PEACE.

To Lori & The Family of Officer James, May you rest in peace now, knowing that this vicious Individual is now on death row, for the crime he has commited to Christopher.

Dallas PD

Thank the Lord, the cowardly person who committed this horrible act has been sentenced to death for his actions! My only regret is that he will get the chance to say goodbye to his family and friends first whereas Officer James didn't get that chance.

May your soul rest in peace now that your death has been avenged. God Bless you and keep you safe...where you are now there are no more worries. Watch over my boys and keep them safe! :D
