Reflections for Officer James R. White

james robert white was my great grandfather he left behind a wife ( lulu l. guard ) and two children (floyd wilbert white born jan 4 1914) and (george j. white 1913)--lulu tried to collect benefits from his death but city of portland claimed he was at fault by backing up while on foot under the truck while directing traffic so benefits were denied she attemped to sue the city and the truck company took it all the way to the supreme court but again was denied she never received a dime as in so many cases ,may he rest in peace he is thought of often
