Recall my mom, Norma, telling me his motorcycle was struck from behind, car/driver unknown till this day. Have newspaper clip, know his badge #, his age seems off, thought younger, 32. His great grandson, Michael Candelario, is PRPD agente in San Juan, his granddaughter, Wanda Maldonado, is sheriff in NC .... We remember & The blue tradition continues ...

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 66th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect and you will always be honored and revered.

Rest In Peace.
