Reflections for Correctional Officer Robert L. Hoffmann
Warrior and Hero!!!
Inspector
March 30, 2012
Your heroism and service is honored today, the 28th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace. I pray for solace for your family. You were truly a hero whose selflessness and valor wee unparalled. How awful it must have been for your son, but I bet he was glad he was with you as your life on this earth ended.

I was a CO for two years before I became a police officer, and after reading this story CO Hoffmann is a prime example of what a true crime fighter is. I am very proud of him, for what he did that day in saving two other officers. God Bless him and his family.

You are remembered today and thank you Sir for your service.
this writer finds it difficult to believe the individuals that murdered these two currectional officers as well as injuring others, only received a life sentence.

A Metal of Valor could not adequately recognize you for the bravery and courage that you showed on this day, because your courage and bravery were of the highest order.
I faced life threatening incidents throughout my career and I can tell you without reservation that this is an incredibly brave man and a true Hero.
Rest in Peace valiant warrior.

As the son of a BOP staff member I think of you and your son every time I hear a BA call or the 222. You gave of yourself so others would live. Rest well.
