Thank you for your service to both country and community. Officer Ellis is my husband's great uncle, he is also a Captain with the Wilson County Sheriff's department and God willing will be able to retire in a year and a half. Officer Ellis was taken way too soon.

Captain Ben Mercer
Wilson County Sheriff's Department

On today, the 81st anniversary of your death I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice-not just for your community, but also for our Country when you served during WW I.

Officer Ellis was my mother's eldest brother. We still speak of him. She remembers his death vividly. She is the last surviving sibling of 13 children.

Officer Ellis....there is a deputy in Ohio that says exactly what I feel with the ODMP....no officer should be without a reflection. Thank you for your service & God bless.
