I said a little prayer today for Detective Daly and his family. He may be gone but not forgotten. He will always be a New York HERO.

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 57th anniversary year of your death. I am privileged to leave a tribute to you. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service.

My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace

mom of fallen officer Larry Lasater

I never met you, but I always knew you. Nanny always spoke of you and always cherished her memories of you (including how the two of you met). Your wedding album is my favorite. Nanny is with you now, which brings us all so much peace. You blessed me with a wonderful father, who you would be so proud to see him now.

I love you.

I carried shield number 12,when assigned to the Third Squad.Detectives,as was Det, Daly. Althought I never knew until today, it was a special number and now I know why.
