Reflections for Patrolman Donald B. Cook

I just wanted to say Rest In Peace. I am your great-nephew and I never got a chance to meet you. Your brother, Glenn Cook was like a father to me and I loved him very much. Glenn has since passed and I hope you two are together with the Lord in Heaven. God Bless You.

Four days. Thank you for serving the people of Indiana, Patrolman Cook. Rest in peace. I was wondering if you were related to Metro-Dade Police Officer William Coleman Cook, EOW: 5-16-1979. My neighbor, friend and hero was shot and killed in the line of duty during a domestic dispute. It's not the length of time, it is in the bravery and humility of that individual public servant.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 65th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
