Reflections for Officer Donald Eugene Carpenter
Your heroism and service is honored today, the forty- eighth anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.
Rest In Peace.

Dad,
I cannot tell you how much we miss you. APD placed a memorial near the site here you were shot. It is beautiful and appropriately enough it was placed on your birthday. There were many people there and we got to meet your partner Bobby Sides. He told us the story about the night you were shot and I have to say that it brought peace to me....I love and miss you every day. You will never be forgotten.
