I just wanted to take some time to thank my fallen brothers for their service and sacrifice, formerly residing in Gilchrist County for many years, this touches my heart dearly. Deputy Lindsey and Sgt. Ramirez are true heroes who laid down their lives to protect our community. May God Bless their family holding the thin blue line, and prayers and condolence to family and friends. " Never Good Bye, Just So long for now" RIP Brothers, We'll hold the line from here.

I had the opportunity to work with you several times, you were the epitome of a Deputy Sheriff and what we all strive to be like. On one occasion you responded to my residence while I was on midnight shift to check the yard for my wife "who heard a noise". When I got home she told me all about Deputy Lindsey and how professional you were, she referred to you as "the one with the big muscles". We are another brother down, but holding strong for you. We will see you again brother, hold it down up there with Noel.

"Somebody killed a policeman today,
And a part of America died.
A piece of our country he swore to protect
Will be buried with him at his side.
The suspect who shot him will stand up in court,
With counsel demanding his rights,
While a young widowed mother must work for her kids
And spend alone many long nights.
The beat that he walked was a battlefield, too,
Just as if he'd gone off to war.
Though the flag of our nation won't fly at half mast,
To his name they will add a gold star.
Yes, somebody killed a policeman today,
It happened in your town or mine.
While we slept in comfort behind our locked doors,
A cop put his life on the line.
Now, his ghost walks a beat on a dark city street,
And he stands at each new rookie's side.
He answered the call and gave us his all,
And a part of America died."
