I pray that everyone can find peace in knowing that we will see this officer as well as many others again in Paradise soon. Until then, please accept my condolences.

I just visited my hometown of Canonsburg where I grew up. I hope the July 4th Parade committee can make it happen for Fueled By The Fallen and "Rafterman" of Full Metal Jacket to be at the 2017 Parade and honor Officer Bashioum on the National Memorial Cruiser. Scott, you are a hero for your service to the country and to the local Canonsburg community, may you never be forgotten.

In the early hours of November 10, 2016 many lives were changed forever and officer Scott Bashioum' s life was taken by an evil, cowardly man. I'll never forget the being awakened by the horrific sounds of multiple gunshots. My heart was pounding in fear as I peaked out my window blinds. I'll never forget seeing you lying on the ground in the fetal position as you rocked back and forth in pain after being shot. I began to cry and shake inside as I spoke out loud, "OMG, an officer is down. He shot an officer." I just knew it had to be the man who lived accross the street had come back to kill his wife, as he had a threatened. I was in shock as I couldn't believe he shot an officer. It was the beginning of several hours of horror for the police, first responders, my neighborhood and me. Though the incidents of that night are over, the untimely death of officer Bashioum, Dalia Sabae, her unborn child have everlasting effects on many people. Did their killer even care how their deaths would effect the lives of their loved ones, their family, friends, coworkers, neighborhood, community and beyond? I think not! My heart goes out to everyone affected and hurt by the losses suffered that night, especially to the family of officer Scott Bashioum. Thank you for your service to your country and your community. You are a hero and you will be missed by many. You didn't deserve to be ambushed and shot. You didn't deserve to die. You will be for forever remembered for your braverery, service and kindness. May you rest in peace and be with the good Lord who will say to you, "Well done my faithful servant."
