Your heroism and service is honored today, the second anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

I pray for solace for all those that love and remember you for I know both the pain and pride are forever. Your family is my heart's embrace. Thanks to your friends for sharing their memories and devotion to you through their reflections.

Rest In Peace.

It never gets easy...time does not heal all. Thanks brother for the service while here and the continued service above watching over the rest of us. Days go by and we all live our lives but we always stop at some point during that day to think of you. You meant so much to so many. Rest brother as we will handle the small stuff knowing you have the rest of us in your arms above. Be proud of your brothers and the girls as they have all shown strength but none compare to Tammy and her devotion. You are a true hero....We will never forget!

Jim:
First and foremost, please know you and your family are continuously in my thoughts and prayers. It is true that so many of us who once served with you at the 523rd MP Co. are deeply saddened by your loss. You were an outstanding MP and obviously, an extraordinary Patrolman. Elyria was fortunate to have you on their watch 177. From someone afar, all I can say is "God Bless" the Elyria community for the phenomenal support shown/given to the Kerstetter family during this difficult time. And to the Kerstetter family and friends, may the love of those around you bring comfort to help you through the days ahead. Please know Jim was loved/admired and will be missed by all. He will definitely live in our hearts forever. God Bless.

Jimmy - It has been 7 months since you passed but it still feels like yesterday that I got a phone call telling me what had happened. You are so deeply missed down here! You would be proud how this community pulled together in the days/weeks/months after this incident. You would be proud of your little girls and how they spoke of you and you would be proud of your fellow officers and how they were able to pull together and maintain. Your untimely death is so very tragic but I am proud to see how this city banded together afterwards. I actually felt proud to say that I was an Elyrian! Sponge, you are missed everyday and I know you are still watching over us.
We love you - god bless you!
