Jim was one of the best. I had the pleasure and honor of knowing him personally and working with him from 1992 - 1996. I had great admiration for him. He was a professional and excellent officer.

I had no idea that Jim was posted here until today, 9-15-10. I had the extreme pleasure of working with Jim for 22 years. He was a cop's cop and a wonderful friend and brother. I loved him dearly. A true hero, he loved police work and his family. He was a Viet Nam veteran (refused a well deserved purple heart) and a MARINE. I was there immediately after his crash which ended his career. He was my training officer back in 1981 and I will always miss him. He attended my retirement from JCPD in March of 2006. What an honor to have him there! To Joy and the kids, I love you all as I loved him. We will see him again one day in Heaven. God bless.
