Regardless of the patches we wear on our sleeves, or the shields we pin to our chests, when an Officer is lost, we all feel the pain... May you rest in peace! To his family and colleagues, keep your chins up, and hang in there.

It is so painful to hear of a police officer being killed. It angers me that the man who murdered this fine police officer was arrested before for DWI. When will these judges and courts realized how bad it is to release these people and give them a chance to kill someone. My heart goes out to officer Ciano and his family. May God rest his soul and watch over his family. Thank you Glen Ciano for protecting us I am so sorry.

I sat next to Glen in the Police Academy (NYPD). We kidded him about being from LI and working in the city, but we knew who the good cops and the great cops were going to be.
GLEN WAS A GREAT COP.

I had the pleasure to know Glen when he was part of the NYPD. Assigned to NSU out of the 13th precinct our lockers were next to each other. After 6 months of NSU I was assigned to Glens squad at the 13th and had the pleasure to get to know him. He was a fearless fun guy who always seemed to have a smile on his face.
