My thoughts, prayers and feelings of anger are expressed to all of yall in Bastrop. I feel your pain, I know your anger, I fight my tears. God Bless all of yall. To my Brother,, As you now patrol the streets of gold, please protect us left behind. To the family, friends and co-workers, ALLWAYS remember. never forget. Those words came from the father of one of our slain brothers who works for us. We will always remember and never forget. God Bless all of yall who work for Bastrop Police Dept. and the family of those slain. We here in Bossier City send our deep condolinces and prayers. There is no answer for why it happened. Only that they have paid the ulitmate sacrifice and that they now protect all of us left behind. God's Speed my brothers. Rest in Peace.

My heart goes out to the residents of Bastrop as they deal with this double tragedy. As a graduate of a local college in Shreveport, I retain fond memories of my exploration of small communities, including Bastrop. It is inconceivable that such violence could occur there.

My prayers are with Detective Wilson’s family, friends, co-workers, and community.

Detective Wilson, rest in peace, sir; you will not be forgotten.
