To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 86th anniversary year of your death. I am priviliged to leave a tribute to you. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.

After being forgotten for so many years, it is comforting to know that my Great Grandfather's name has finally been remembered and immortalized. Though I never knew him, it is an honor to be his great grandson. I can not express in words how much respect I have for the men and women of law enforcement who put their life at risk everyday.

You would be very proud of the five- year-old son you left behind. He fought in WWII, graduated from Mississippi State, married, had three children,is still in love with his wife of 56 years, and, at age 83, is very active on his farm. I know the son you left behind very well. I call him "Dad." Yes, you would be very proud of the family you didn't live to see. We love you and thank you leaving us such a rich legacy.

Granny kept your picture on the mantel above her fireplace until the day she died. You have lived in hearts for a long, long time.

Thank you for fighting the good fight and keeping the faith. It is an honor to have your name.
