Reflections for Patrolman Charles E. Schaeffer

St. Michael be with you now, the family you left behind and the Buffalo PD.

We remember.

"St. Michael, when we lay down our nightsticks enroll us in your Heavenly force, where we will be as proud to guard the throne of God as we were to guard the cities of men."

We will see you in Elysium.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 99th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
