As a grandson of Wyatt Luther Nugent, I thank all of you for your reflections. I do have a question for MSgt. Henry Harris, though. Would you, sir, still have that saddle? I would dearly love to see it. I know this is rather late (Sept. 2015) but if there is way to contact each other, I would love to do so. Again, thank you all.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 76th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

Rest In Peace.

Thank you for your service and devotion, Sir. I grew up on stories about you. My great-grandfather was one of the range riders loading the cattle that day, and he was also present when the slayer was apprehended. He later purchased your saddle from your widow to provide some supporting funds for her and your orphans. I have it now and ride it occasionally. I trust you rest in peace.

I constantly read the ODMP because every officer who died for us should have a reflection. Rest in peace, sir. You will always be remembered.
