Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Sergeant John Wayne Domblisky

We think of you and your family during these holidays, and offer thoughts and prayers as you celebrate without your loved one. Cherish the memories of the past and be open to new ones with your loved ones and friends. Your loved one will never be forgotten and always honored for their sacrifice.

John,

Damn it doesn't seem that it was all that long ago that we were rookie sergeants working shift three out of the Union Hills Precinct. Late night coffee at Perkins. You brining homemade Buffalo Wings into briefing for your squad. Its over 15 years now that you were taken from us. I think of you every time I go down 7th Street or if I need a smile. The stories I could tell..

Rest easy brother John. Its Code 4.

Dom...I remember our Academy Class days, especially your 'continuous smile', except when we were on our afternoon "runs"! You gave the maximum and were a Policeman's 'Policeman...missed by all your Commrades, Peace to your family.

I worked with John. He had a barrel chest and a booming voice. A continual practical joker. He loved pitching slow pitch and couldn't hit anything but pop ups to the pitcher. He would get sooo frustrated. He was a certified massage therapist and volunteered his gifts at all the police olympics. He is truely missed.

I can't believe it has been so long, I still talk about our Community Relations softball team.
