I'm sure you and Karen went out for pizza once in a while and enjoyed every minute. Life is like that pizza with everything, we want pleasure, joy and happiness are racing side by side. Unfortunately, you can't have your cake and eat it too. Service with a broad smile, a grin with gallantry and hopes for a brighter tomorrow. Honor, reverence, dignity and the fibers of integrity sustained your strength of heart and soul. Sometimes that feeling is hollow and is surreal. When my father passed away the Rabbi, our friend who officiated told my mother she too should rest in peace that the grass doesn't talk. You can cry and scream jump up and down, it's just hard to contemplate the loss of a cherished hero and honorable family member of which you were, Officer Cook, to your community and department who salute your unwavering valor, vigilance and thirst to learn more. What a man of humble and dignified character. It saved lives in and around the Dade County venue by and large and those foundations you constructed are now being enhanced by today's brightest of heroes.
