Officer Beesley... its not important how many people you have met in your life. What's important is the fondness and sense of loss of those you have touched in your life who will miss you. I salute you sir.

To the family of Officer Beesley, his sisters and brothers in arms, the community of Arvada, Colorado, I want to say how sorry I am that this violence has come to our dear city. Office Beesley showed the utmost in courage and his family may be very proud as they mourn the loss of this sweet man. I had experience with the officer when he responded to my home to assist my family with a teen who was suffering from a mental illness. I recall him so well because he showed such calm and confidence, but more, he showed compassion for my grandson, him mother and me. In one of the most difficult times, Officer Beesley was there for us. I will pray for all those who are devastated by his loss.

I also am so proud, yet sad, for the Good Samaritan who came to the officer's aid. Such a selfless thing to do, " ... to give up ones life for another..." Again, prayers for all concerned. May the be ministered to by the angels and sped to the throne of the Creator.
