Officer Beesley was the SRO at Oberon where 3 of my 4 children attended. On several occasions throughout the years, I was lucky enough to get to visit with him while waiting to pick up or drop off my children. He was such a nice man and really seemed to care about the kids. My son's was very saddened (as we all were) to hear of his death as he considered him a friend. We support and respect all Arvada police.
Officer Beesley........Thank you for everything you meant to our community and for protecting our children every day. You will be remembered and missed.

I feel how weak and fruitless must be any word of mine which should attempt to beguile you from the grief of a loss so overwhelming. But I cannot refrain from tendering you the consolation that may be found in the thanks of the Republic they died to save. I pray that our Heavenly Father may assuage the anguish of your bereavement, and leave you only the cherished memory of the loved and lost, and the solemn pride that must be yours to have laid so costly a sacrifice upon the altar of freedom.

Yours, very sincerely and respectfully,

Abraham Lincoln

Officer Beesley,

Although we've never met, there is less than six degrees of separation from you and I. I see the pain in the words of our mutual friend, and realize the hurt that your passing has left in its wake. I know that you were loved and held in high regard by your co-workers.

I pray for the recovery of your family and friends. Thanks for your service to the City of Arvada and the people of the State of Colorado. May God grant you eternal rest and may His perpetual light shine upon you.
