Almighty and eternal God, we ask You to be with the family of Deputy First Class Kyle Melancon of the Ascension Parish LA Sheriff's Office. Even as Your Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, was moved to weep over the death of his friend Lazarus, so we know You are touched by the tears of those who mourn the loss of Deputy First Class Kyle Melancon. In Your divine providence, fill the aching void in our hearts with Your comforting presence and grant peace through the assurance of Your love and care. In the mighty and holy name of Your beloved Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen.

During His three (3) year ministry, the Lord Jesus Christ proclaimed, “Blessed are those who make peace. They will be called God’s children.” [Matthew 5:9 GW]
