“Do not pity the dead. Pity the living and above all pity those who know no love” I feel sorry for the loss and his family... the person who did this should go to hell and stay in prison to rot… this officer died doing what his job. he probably woke up and got dressed and did his morning routine kissed his wife and children goodbye not knowing that death had marked that day as his last day on Earth… he deserves a burial of honor… for this man fought till he couldn’t go on…

Dear Mrs. Sherry Searcy,

I am writing to you today to express to you and your family, my great shock and sorrow regarding the loss of your husband, Corporal Bryant Searcy, who everyone knew and highly respected at Lincoln Hall of Justice, where I practice law and got to know Cpl. Searcy when he served in the courtroom of the Honorable Jerome C. Cavanagh, in the juvenile division.

Cpl. Searcy was senselessly killed in the line of duty, and I just wanted to acknowledge his ultimate sacrifice. The death of an officer is always a terrible tragedy.

I know you must be overwhelmed by condolences and the pressure of making arrangements must be challenging, so do not feel obligated to respond. However, if you need anything from me, please know that I will do anything I can to help you. I would consider it a great honor to assist the widow of one of the finest and most respected Corporals of the Wayne County Sherriff's Department in Michigan.

Please do take care of yourself during this sad and troubling time.

In support,
Motor City Justice, PLLC
