A Prayer for Police Officer Amy Caprio:

Lord God, I boldly and humbly come before Your throne in sincere faithful and fervent prayer as we remember in this moment our Sister-in-Blue, Police Officer Amy Caprio, of Baltimore County, Maryland Police Department, who sacrificed her life in the Line-of-Duty. We recall with gratitude and respect all that she stood for in this life. Help us to live in the companionship of her spirit. May we be kind to the family, friends, and colleagues she loved; devoted to the county and state in which she served; and loyal to the causes which she championed in law enforcement. For the Scripture says: God blesses those who work for peace for they will be called the children of God ; there is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends; I [Jesus] assure you, today you will be with me in Paradise, and; God blesses those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Thus, in our life, may Police Officer Amy Caprio live on, to our great comfort, to the betterment of Your creation, and to the furthering of Your most Holy Will. Amen

We have your patrol from here, Police Officer Amy Caprio. Rest easy, our Sister-in-Blue, you are now in the hands of the Lord God.

God, filled with mercy, dwelling in the heavens' heights,
bring proper rest beneath the wings of your Lord,
amid the ranks of the holy and the pure,
illuminating like the brilliance of the skies the soul of Amy Caprio who went to her eternal place of rest.
May You who are the source of mercy shelter her beneath Your wings eternally,
and bind her soul among the living, that she may rest in peace. And let us say: Amen.

A PART OF AMERICA DIED....

Somebody killed a police officer today .... And a part of America died…. A piece of our country she swore to protect .... Will be buried with her at her side.... The beat that she walked was a battlefield too,.... Just as if she had gone off to war, .... Though the flag of our nation won't fly at half-mast .... To her name they will add a gold star.... The suspect that killed her will stand up in court .... With counsel demanding his rights....Yes, somebody killed a police officer today…. Maybe in your town or mine,.... While we slept in comfort behind our locked doors.... A cop put her life on the line.... Now her ghost walks the beat on a dark city street, .... And she stands at each new rookie's side; .... She answered the call… of herself gave her all,.... And a part of America died.

Rest in peace Officer Amy Caprio, sincere condolences to family and friends.
