Deepest condolences to Family, Department and Friends. Visit the web site for a glimpse of the Glorious Reunions awaiting. All law enforcement men and women indeed qualify as "Foxhole Christians" with their duty dangers. As Ray Comfort at says "Passing is the doormat they wipe their feet on before entering Heaven.” It is our belief they will hear from the Lord Himself. “Do not fear. for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the Kingdom” (Luke 12:12).

You are a good friend and inspiration to all that have taken the oath “To Serve and Protect”.

Each year at Salemburg, as we stood with the Police Explorers during the Officer Memorial, I prayed that this year would be last year a new name was added to the Memorial Monument. And now in 2018, yours will be among the many that have made the ultimate sacrifice.

We miss you Mike, but are comforted knowing your in a better place!

On behalf of my family, I extend our sincerest condolences on the grievous loss you suffered when Michael was killed.

To the Doty family, fellow officers, and all who call Michael beloved, my heart goes out to all of you and may you find comfort in your loved ones and your strength in your faith. When my son was killed, the entire law enforcement community in our area embraced us in a circle of love and support, and I know you will receive the same support. It makes the unbearable less torturous, and I pray for your solace. I hope that your family knows that a nation mourned for you.

This reflection is sent with the utmost respect for the dedicated service Detective Doty gave to his community and the citizens of South Carolina and for the supreme sacrifice he and his family made on January 17th, 2018.

May God watch over the Family and Fellow Officers that put their lives on the line for us everyday. We all lose when one of these heroes fall. And this one was a terrible loss. A man who without care for his own safety did such a noble thing. I hope his family will find some type of peace during this time of mourning. God will not let them down.
