Trooper Anthony Raspa left us all too soon. I am sure he will be missed by all who knew and respected him as a New Jersey State Trooper. He served over a year with the New Jersey State Police. His name along with other officers who died in the line of duty this year will have their names on the walls in Washington and in Trenton, NJ next year. It is hard for a law enforcement agency to deal with the loss of one of their own when they are killed doing what they do best and that is protecting and serving your community, county and state even country.

For Trooper Anthony Raspa:

The law-officer on patrol is faced with myriad risks while patrolling the highway, and the chance of animals suddenly bursting into the path of a moving vehicle, is among them. We regret that our brother Anthony, so young and with a full career ahead of him, would be so unfortunate as to be involved in a crash causing him to lose his life.
We pray for Anthony's family, co-workers, friends, and all those who care about him. May they be ready to reach out to one another at this time.
We are proud to render, Trooper Anthony Raspa, a soldier-of-the-law, a final salute.

Cpl. Ralph D. Fiorenza (Ret.)
Pennsylvania State Police
