Reflections for Deputy Sheriff Hans Jacob Fifer

Hans was a wonderful guy with a great spirit. His loss is being felt throughout the Law Enforcement community. To his wife and daughters we (Conway Police Department) are here for you. We know you are brokenhearted but "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and rescues those who are crushed in spirit." Know that you are being lifted in prayer and you don't have to stand alone. HANS is with our FATHER in Heaven.

A police officer should be remembered not by how he died, but how he lived! A great man has gone to secure a safe path for the rest of us to follow. Thank you to you, your family and the Faulkner County Sheriff's Office. Our country is a little less safe without you. Rest in Peace Brother.

I have laid down my life in service to all of you.
I have been a part of the fabric that has held the line between your safety and your victimization. I have given my life so that others may live in peace. I have lived my life as a dedicated member of the greatest profession. There is no greater honor.

As I now become a part of the rich history of law enforcement, please remember me always for I have left behind those who loved and depended upon me.
My partners and my agency, please remember my family, their loss, and don’t let time soften your compassion for them.

You guard the gate now and I will continue my watch from above.

MAY YOU REST IN PEACE AND MAY YOUR FAMILY FIND COMFORT IN THE GOOD YOU HAVE DONE HERE ON EARTH.

Deputy Fifer,

Rest well in the Presence of God.

To Your Family,

Feel His presence as God answers the prayers of many who have fallen to their knees on your behalf. Since the day of my son's death, I have carried every law enforcement officer and their family in my heart.

Every morning I go to my knees. During that time I pray, “Lord, Be with all law enforcement officers. Keep them safe and free from harm. They are your soldiers on the front line of the battle against evil. If one should fall this day - wrap their family in your loving arms. Surround them with loving, caring people to comfort them. Ease their pain. Help them to mourn well. In Jesus' name, Amen”

I have lifted you and your family to God every morning for over 2 years. Feel those prayers. God is with you, He knows and will ease your pain.
