Living on Long Island for 31 years of my life I have always admired both Nassau and Suffolk Police Departments. It's not easy when an officer leaves us in the line of duty. I truly believe that God selects the great ones for a higher calling to patrol the golden streets in Heaven. Officer Lopez, you will never be forgotten and your legacy lives on with everyone that puts on the Nassau County Police uniform every day. Rest in peace... we'll take it from here.
