Now all the Politicians will come out and blow their horns. Time for them to use this poor young brave cops death as a campaign stunt to win votes. Two weeks after the election they will soon forget his name. I can assure you the family friends and brothers of this hero will never forget his name! What they need to do is not let his live pass in vain ! Each and every Judge and Lawyer within this twisted sick system we call justice should see the eyes of this fine officers family. They should live with them and feel what loss really means ! Maybe then this hero's loss will add up to some answer other than "Why?". The Piece of crap who did this had no right to live in our society. The idiots who kept placing him back out here have no right to call themselves champions of Justice. I can see it now this will be used as another cry to remove guns from the street! We know better ! We must remove these shitbags from the streets! Maybe then these men ans women who really shield us from harm will never have to feel a loss again!
Gods speed Officer Lopez ! I thank you for protecting me and my family ! I am honored to have called you my brother even if we never met !

To the family: I am truly sorry for your loss; I did not know Officer Lopez - but any man who would put his life on the line everyday to protect a community that I'm sure he loved has a seat in heaven, that I can assure you. Thank you for sharing such an amazing man with our profession.

To the department: The entire law enforcement community mourns the loss of another brother in blue. God speed to your agency in this terrible time.

Final Inspection:
The policeman stood and faced his God,
Which must always come to pass.
He hoped his shoes were shining.
Just as brightly as his brass.

"Step forward now, policeman.
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To My church have you been true?"

The policeman squared his shoulders and said,
"No, Lord, I guess I ain't,
Because those of us who carry badges
can't always be a saint.

I've had to work most Sundays,
and at times my talk was rough,
and sometimes I've been violent,
Because the streets are awfully tough.

But I never took a penny,
That wasn't mine to keep....
Though I worked a lot of overtime
When the bills got just too steep.

And I never passed a cry for help,
Though at times I shook with fear.
And sometimes, God forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.

I know I don't deserve a place
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around
Except to calm their fear.

If you've a place for me here,
Lord, It needn't be so grand.
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don't.....I'll understand.

There was silence all around the throne
Where the saints had often trod.
As the policeman waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.

"Step forward now, policeman,
You've borne your burdens well.
Come walk a beat on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in hell."

Irish Blessing Lyrics by The Priests
edit print

May the wind be ever at your back.
May the sunshine warm upon your face,
And the rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again.
May God hold you, May God hold you
Ever in the palm of his hand.

May the road rise to meet you,
May the wind be ever at your back.
May the sunshine warm upon your face,
And the rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again.
May God hold you, May God hold you
Ever in the palm of his hand.
Ever in the palm of his hand.
The palm of his hand.
