My deepest sympathies go out to the family, friends and co-workers of Dep. Mast. 9 months ago I lost a fellow officer and friend of 17 years to yet another senseless duty involved shooting. I feel some of your pain. We never forget their memories but as someone said here, "We must go on". We serve to honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice. God Bless Dep. Mast and his family.

"The Final Inspection"
...........
...There was silence all around the throne
Where the saints had often trod.
As the policeman waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.

"Step forward now, policeman,
You've borne your burdens well.
Come walk a beat on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in hell."
