Your family is in my prayers. No matter whether they lose you as the result of an assault or an accident, it hurts the same & is just as tragic. My brother (now a Sheriff) and my uncle (retired & now deceased) worked with NCDOC so I know the dangers this job has. I pray our Lord will wrap his loving arms around you and carry you through the difficult days ahead. Thanks Officer Wright for your service in a job that not many could (or would) do.

My Fellow Brother,

My condolences to your family. We work in a thankless career w/amazing people. If it wasn't for our co-workers we couldn't do this job day after day. I honor your service and pray for your family and your co-workers. I work in a jail that has lost 4 of it's own in one year. They were not job related, but I know how hard it is to loose one of your own.

Monroe County Sheriff's Department, Jail Bureau
