Harold F. Tullke

Officer Tullke was shot and killed while attempting to apprehend a kidnapping suspect. Officer Tullke began pursuing the suspect and victim until the suspect crashed his vehicle into Officer Tullke's patrol car. Officer Tullke then chased the suspect on foot but was shot as he caught up with the suspect behind a home. Officer Tullke's partner shot and killed the suspect.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 47th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
