All law enforcement officers see the absolute best and absolute worst in others...this is such a case. What a needless and tragic murder of an honorable public servant doing her duty. She is at rest and in peace in the arms of the Lord. God Bless her and her family left behind to endure.

James 1:27 God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.

The lord has called to you, those words no one in law enforcement want to hear. The lord said Sergeant Barbara Ester you have served your corrections department well, it is time to come home. Sergeant Barbara Ester your shift has ended.

To her husband, it is not how your wife left us and our law enforcement community, it is the legacey and memories she created, so share them well with everyone. Rest in Peace sister.

It is at times a thankless job to stand on the wall to protect those you love and care about from those who would do them and many others harm. Tonight, thank you will not be enough for those who have lost a loved one, a colleague, a friend. Tonight will be a time to remember her and to mourn. Tomorrow we will be on the wall for her and those we all try to protect. God Bless Sgt. Ester.
