May it comfort you in the days ahead to know that citizens all over this country are offering up prayers on behalf of the family, friends and co-workers of Officer Slot. It may not often seem like it during this trying period of time in our country, but many of us still value those of you who "serve and protect" and too often pay the ultimate price. What kind of man gets up in the morning,
showers, shaves, and goes to work...
...not knowing whether he'll be alive
at the end of the day?
What kind of man has the courage
to stand at the door of the temple...
...and say to those who seek to corrupt,
rob and harm our citizens:
" Not on my watch.
You will not harm one of mine"?

RIP Brother...

May God Bless the family of Officer Slot, I know how hard it is to lose a loved one but you have to keep the faith in God and know that he is with God. I lost my husband in Jan 05 and my brother June 05 and I pinned my son's badge on him 2 weeks after my brothers funeral. The only thing that has got me through it all is my faith in God and my family/friends. My prayers are with you.
